Monterebro Joven

A young red wine. The grapes for this wine are grown in the "La Aragona" Hamlet (el Paraje de La Aragona) which is located at 750 meters above sea level. Monterebro Joven displays a sensational dark cherry red colour with very good depth and intensity. The nose reveals attractive and complex ripe fruity aromas. Very well-structured on the palate. Balanced, elegant and lively.

Grape Variety:
Monastrell 85% Syrah 15%
Age of Vines: Up to 40 years.
Vineyard Characteristics: Located between 700 and 800 meters above sea level, on stony and calcareous soils, with maximum yields of 1.75 kg per vine.
Harvest: During October. Grapes harvested by hand and placed into boxes of 12 kg.
Production: During the initial phase, the wine is subjected to a process of cold maceration. This is followed by traditional, carbonic semi-maceration (and malolactic fermentation) in stainless steel deposits, pumping and moving the musts, at controlled temperatures of 20ºC to 25ºC. Stored in refrigerated deposits until bottled.
Presentation: 75cl Bordeaux Elite. Textured front and back labels with embossing. Branded capsules and boxes (6 bottles per box).
Accompaniments: Lightly dressed salads, meat pâté, noodles, spaghetti, mushrooms, cold meats, blue and white fish, cream cheese, goat’s cheese, red and white meats, roast meat (lamb and pork), cooked chickpeas, etc.
Alcohol: 13.5%
Total Acidity: 5.25 g/l.
Residual Sugar: 3.9 g/l.
Total SO²: 59 mg/l.
Serving Advice: 16-17°C.
