Monterebro Joven
Premium Red Wine from Jumilla > Spain > Dry Red Wine > Monastrell.
The grapes for this wine are grown in the La Aragona hamlet, located at 700 to 800 meters above sea level in Jumilla. Monterebro Joven has a sensational dark cherry red colour with great depth and intensity. The nose comprises attractive, complex, ripe fruity aromas. Very well-structured on the palate. Balanced, elegant and lively.

Grape Variety: Monastrell 70% Shiraz 15% Tempranillo 15%
Oak Aging: 2 months in French and American oak barrels (50/50).
Presentation: 750ml Bordeaux Elite. Natural cork.
Vineyard Age: 32 years (Monastrell).
Vineyard Characteristics: Located between 700 and 800 meters above sea level on stony and calcareous soils with maximum yields of 1.75kg per vine.
Harvest: During September and October. Grapes harvested by hand.
Production: During the initial phase the wine is subjected to a process of cold maceration. This is followed by traditional, carbonic semi-maceration in stainless steel deposits, moving the musts at controlled temperatures of 20ºC to 25ºC. The malolactic fermentation takes place in the barrel.
